WHERE IS THE THEME SONG? July 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really enjoyed the cd (good mix), but the theme song is missing. The song "Where Love Goes" by Al Geeen on the cd is not the version {or re-mix) that opens the show. The theme song on the show credits Al Green and Sy Smith as the artists. Sy Smith, who sounds like a female is missing in action. This is my only disappointment with the cd. But it was my main reason for buying it... And so it goes.
Music from Soul Food Series Review October 14, 2007 This CD was excellent. The choice of music was wonderful. I felt like watching the whole series over again, just so I could see the artists perform these songs in person. I will be listening to this CD for a long, long time.
Good set of songs February 8, 2004 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
this Soundtrack is basically a "NOW" set for R&B Music when it gets right down to it.R.Kelly's Classic 'When a Woman's Fed up" is still the Cut.Bbayface,Kelly Price&others are well represented here.
Great Bang for the Buck! October 4, 2001 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I love this CD and it has a wide variety of good R&B songs. I bought this trying to get a CD with some good R&B because too many artists are one hit wonders or don't produce many good songs. This album delivers and I listen to it all the time. The songs are shown above. If you want another good R&B/Rap album I recommend the 2001 Grammy R&B/Rap Nominees CD. Great R&B/Rap and good bang for the buck.
