Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Thirty-five years since they last performed there as an opening act, Daryl Hall and John Oates returned to the Troubadour in May of 2008 to find the legendary Los Angeles club nearly unchanged. The same can't be said for the fourth-biggest act of the '80s (after Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince), and the best-selling duo ever. For two nights, they delighted fans with a nonstop barrage of unforgettable hits, all of which are included on this sensational two-hour concert. Now you can experience this sold-out, $200-ticket show in your own living room. Two-hour concert taped in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience, and featuring 19 songs, including all of their biggest hits. Features a fan-pleasing mix of classics such as "Private Eyes," "Maneater," "Kiss On My List," "Sara Smile," "She's Gone," "Rich Girl," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)," "Family Man," and "You Make My Dreams," along with deep cuts and fan favorites. Six songs never before available on a live release, including "Everything Your Heart Desires" and "When The Morning Comes." 3-disc set containing the DVD and the full concert spread across 2 CDs.

5 out of 5 stars Hall & Oates Fan Must Have   January 8, 2009
If you are a fan of Hall & Oates, you must get this set. I saw them in Atlantic City a few weeks before this concert and loved the concert and them so I had to have this set. It's almost as good as seeing them live and they play all the great Hall & Oates that the fans love. It's also great to watch them play. I can leave the DVD at home to watch (almost daily) and take the CD's with me in the car.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!   January 7, 2009
I bought this set after seeing Hall and Oates in concert in a small venue. They were great at that concert, but it was relatively short, as concerts go. They mentioned this CD/DVD set to hear more of our favorites. I have their CDs from the 70's and 80's. Live at the Troubadour has all of their big hits, and even my favorites from their early years. Hall and Oates are fantastic in concert, the musicians are great, and the DVD is great to watch!

5 out of 5 stars Another Can't Miss Performance   January 6, 2009
Daryl Hall & John Oates sound as good as ever in this 3-disc set. (One DVD and two audio CD's of the show). They play all their big hits in this two-hour semi-acoustic show reminiscent of the early '90's shows.

They also throw-in some surprises like "When The Morning Comes" and the severly over-looked "It's Uncanny".

Extras on the DVD include separate interviews with Daryl and John.

5 out of 5 stars AT THEIR BEST.....   January 4, 2009
HALL AND OATES SHINE ON THIS CD-DVD PACKAGE.THEY BRING THEIR BEST TO THE STAGE WITH A TIGHT BAND AND SHINE IN THE LIGHT OF A LIVE PERFORMANCE WITH "SARA","SHE'S GONE","MANEATER"......AND MANY MORE OF THEIR BEST MATERIAL.I SAW THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME LIVE THIS YEAR AND THEY IMPRESSED ME TO THE POINT OF RATING THEIR SHOW ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE HALL AND OATES LIVE -DO SO!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Daryl Hall & John Oates: Live at the Troubadour   December 28, 2008
Daryl Hall & John Oates- Live at the Troubadour I bought two copies: one for me and another for my son who is a musician. This live performance absolutely rocks! What great performers and musicians Daryl and John are --- not to mention the entire band. This acoustic performance at the Troubadour is a must for anyone who's a Hall & Oates fan; or even if not, they'd become one just by watching this (or listening to the CDs). These guys certainly get better with age --- my hat's off to them! My personal favorites are: Getaway Car, Uncanny and those they play from their Abandoned Luncheonette album. They truly are the Best Duo of all times.
