Really a mixtape but plays like a full album, there are some top tunes on here, tip obviously is nice behind the boards but you can't deny that he has got nice table skillz too. The standout tracks being the awesome track "i got rhythm" ft royce da 59 with a delightful sample of the classic 50's Lena Horne etitled i got my man (this is a club banger). Another fave being "Listen" ft Heavy D, the bass lines bounces effortlessly, reminds me of Erick Sermon track from his insomnia album from 95. the opening joint (a remix) ft Busta rhymes called "for the nasty" is a real head nodder dilla like in sound with the keys and the drum crack, all said and done this is a very worthy purchase and worthy of any hiphop fan. Other worthy joints are "black boy" "scram jones" and the obvious joint "Official" Don't sleep on tip. All said and done this isn't strictly a hiphop album to vibe to it obvious that Kamaal has dipped his hand into the funk, jazz as a bit of rock on this album, so be warned. Still a nice album. We await his other release later this month with great anticipation.
