Great album November 24, 2008
My wife and I bought this after CMR released it. I had heard samples off the internet and knew that we were in for a treat... boy is that the truth! This album displays the dirtiest beats and most energy I've ever heard on a Christian rap album. I wish there were more dirty south style artists around to be honest. And the lyrics/delivery are superb! Jesus is up in every rhyme. When the album kicks off Lecrae states "Romans 1:16, I'm not ashamed, I ain't ashamed!" and that's the truth. Key songs in my opinion are Souled Out, Aliens, Crossover ("You can find me in the church, focused and alert, no suit and tie, jeans and a t-shirt, I'm into praising God because He made us out of dirt, and plus He gave His life for this world's evil works" WOW I love that line!), and Represent.

If you want powerful music that speaks the truth, ministers, delivers scriptures, and still has a great beat and a great flow then this is the CD for you. I have been waiting on a Chrisitian CD that is all word all day and it has arrived with the annointing still on it. Talk about reaching the youth, I'm older at 27 and it is going straight to the heart. It is true that you know the truth instantly when you hear it. God is speaking through this album and it is nothing less than blessing. :o)

This cd is simply amazing! I was once a fan of secular hip hop, but this cd really changed my views about the subject. Secular hip hop is terrible in content. Lecrae brings great beats, better than most popular hip hop artists, and combines solid lyricism. Most importantly, he glorifies God in his music. The song Jesus Muzik is quite possibly the best hip hop song I've heard.
I highly recommend this cd for it's quality music and message. Don't be a fan of secular hip hop and its poor message. As the cd title states, this is the real talk (about Christianity), not guns, sex, drugs. Listen to Lecrae, you won't be disappointed.

From the moment I heard Lecrea singing with Flame on Flame's 2nd album, I knew Lecrea would be awesome! I didn't order the CD online, but kept looking for it at local Christian stores. Now that I have "Real Talk", I've got my hands on a gem!
Lecrea easily outdoes secular rappers and hip-hop, and he does it with the style of a brother in Christ. Like other reviewers are mentioning, I'll say he has the ability to spin tracks for everyone, further allowing anyone to pick this CD up and find something they'll like. And don't forget to listen for the two bonus tracks at the end of the CD. Totally worth it. Totally worth the money you probably wasted on secular rap artists. This is the BEST hip-hop CD I've heard in a LONG, LONG time. I totally recommend anything by Lecrea. Keep serving!
